“Genius is making complex ideas simple, not making simple ideas complex.” - Albert Einstein

Dr. Theo Colborn was a revolutionary research scientist who received the Rachel Carson Award multiple times. She was instrumental in arousing popular awareness of the threat of endocrine disruptors to development. She is the co-author of Our Stolen Future, a ground-breaking book that alerts parents, parents-to-be and the world at large to the need to protect prenatal development from chemical invasion that pierces the placental barrier. She created the Endocrine Disruption Exchange to continue her courageous research and outreach. This interview is an historical record of how Theo became the herculean scientist that she was. She died in 2014 at the age of 87. She was a major contributor and an inspiration to the Punahele vision for uniting scientists, parents and healthcare providers to protect the children of the future.
