Writing Like a Medicine Woman is a rare collective in which women at all levels of their writing goals, from beginning to articulate themselves to authors ready to publish, listen deeply to one another and provide masterful editorial responses.
The quality of safety, authenticity, guidance, and sensitivity in these groups is gemlike. Facilitated by author Stephanie Mines—who also shares her own writing—, she encourages participants to deepen their capacity for mastery. The themes in these gatherings revolve around women’s experiences in this time of radical political and cultural change, and the impacts on motherhood, parenting, and the lives of women.
If you are a woman who has been writing or who wants to write, and you care about this world and how you can be a voice for women in it, this group is for you. Templates for writing and editing are provided. Writing prompts are generated for each group meeting. One very special aspect of these groups is that participants learn energy medicine practices to enhance their writing, beginning each meeting with a focus on holistic embodiment.
“This class has been a very rich opportunity for me; empowering, validating and uplifting. Stephanie is stewarding this class with so much depth, presence, clarity, enthusiasm and compassion that it allows everyone to feel safe, seen and encouraged in the unique expression of who they are. This is a class for any woman yearning to pour their embodied soul into their writing while being supported and inspired by a community of heart-centered women.”
