Philomena works as a Body-Centred Therapist having trained in Person Centred Counselling, Gestalt Psychotherapy & Sensorimotor Therapy. Philomena is passionate about finding safe non-invasive interventions for renegotiating shock and trauma and excited to integrate the use of energetic interventions into her practice. Elaine is a lifetime artist and dancer who integrates body, mind and spirit into her healing approach. Holly Jones - PT
Certified TARA Practitioner - Edmond, Oklahoma
Holly Jones, PT is a 1990 graduate of the University of Kentucky’s physical therapy program. She specializes in integrative manual therapy and began her private practice in Oklahoma in 2001. She blends the TARA Approach with integrative manual therapy, allowing her to uncover key musculoskeletal and emotional areas simultaneously, promoting maximal healing potential. Techniques that Holly utilizes include craniosacral, strain/counterstrain, myofascial, visceral, and functional techniques. In addition, Holly has an expertise in the evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor disorders and is an APTA Section of Women’s Health member. As a certified animal massage therapist, she also integrates manual therapy and the TARA Approach in the treatment of small animals.

Karen lives and works at the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland. This is where she first heard about the TARA approach at Stephanie Mines’ 2013 Forgiveness conference talk. She started using Stephanie’s book We Are All in Shock and was struck by its profound impact on her nervous system. Karen has since trained with Stephanie Mines and Anneke Stolte, while also supporting Stephanie’s workshops at the Findhorn Foundation.
Karen’s own life journey has been greatly touched by the healing arts. She is a Biodanza facilitator and author of Dances With Spiders, a vibrant study on dance and well being in Southern Italy, based on her PhD in medical anthropology. Her personal experience and research, combined with various energy medicine trainings (Kinesiology, EFT, Reiki and Energetic & cellular healing), deeply ground her trust in the self-healing process facilitated by the TARA approach. Joany lives in the wild North West Highlands of Scotland. Finding TARA at a Self Care workshop on the Black Isle, she says: “I felt so energized and free, like I was able to do anything! That made me question why I wasn’t doing what I really wanted to do in life. It was like life was trying to burst out of me but I wouldn’t let it go! TARA has helped remove the blockages that were holding me back. Major shifts have taken place in my life in a gentle and loving way through practicing TARA”. Seeing nature as a great healer, Joany is training as a Forest School Practitioner. She is also a Shamanic Practitioner and Yoga Instructor. Joan qualified with a Diploma in Physical Education from Dunfermline College of Education, a Diploma in Education from Aberdeen University and a Post Graduate certificate in Education from the Northern College of Education. She taught P.E. to 5 – 18 year-olds and then lectured in P.E. to students and to student primary teachers for 10 years. She taught 3-6 year olds in nursery and at primary school for 16 years. She has received profound healing through TARA study and treatments and uses TARA self-care daily. She is a qualified TARA Foundations Practitioner and is currently pursuing Advanced Certification. Carolyn Story has a background in Special Education and QiGong. These practices prepare her for and enhance her delivery of the TARA Approach as a Certified Foundations level Practitioner. Julie is a TARA Approach practitioner with 15 years of practice in Chinese medicine. As an acupuncturist and herbalist, she has treated a wide variety of issues ranging from pain syndromes to those with chronic internal medicine issues. Incorporating the TARA Approach into the treatments has allowed her clients to heal at a much deeper level, and provide a greater understanding to the origins of each ailment. The TARA Approach fell into Jamie's life at the exact time that she needed it. Immediately after her first TARA Foundations course she made the commitment to practice Self-Care morning and night and experienced profound physical, spiritual and emotional changes. This encouraged her to continue studying with Stephanie through the Essence and Empowerment Series at Findhorn in Scotland in 2016 where she became certified. Nalini earned a Bachelor of Art in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, as well as a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia. She has recently completed her PhD in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Hawai’i at Hilo. Her PhD project involved examining the relationship between obesity and breast cancer. She utilized the TARA Approach to assist her in her academic endeavors as she found her Self Care practice indispensable for such a rigorous task. She wishes to combine her academic knowledge of the human body with the power of the TARA Approach to help others navigate their own shock and trauma.
